Mirrors cut to
any size — made
for your space
Custom-cut mirrors for bathrooms, feature walls, wardrobes, gyms and living spaces — supplied and installed across Melbourne and Geelong by Best Stairs. No standard sizes. Every mirror made to measure.
The right mirror changes
how a room feels
A mirror isn't just a functional object — it's one of the most powerful tools in interior design. The right mirror in the right position makes a small room feel twice as large, brings natural light deep into a dark space and adds a decorative element that can anchor an entire room.
Off-the-shelf mirrors come in a handful of fixed sizes that rarely fit your space perfectly. Our custom-cut mirrors are made to your exact dimensions — whether that's a floor-to-ceiling bathroom wall, a precise alcove niche or a full-length gym mirror — so the result always looks considered, intentional and right.
- Cut to any size — no standard dimension limits
- Multiple glass types and edge finish options
- Makes spaces feel larger and brighter
- Supplied only or fully installed — your choice
- Safe backing — no sharp exposed edges
- Free measure-up across Melbourne & Geelong

Bathroom Mirrors
The finishing touch
your bathroom deserves
A custom bathroom mirror is one of the most impactful and cost-effective upgrades you can make during a renovation. Instead of choosing from a handful of standard sizes, we cut your mirror to the exact width of your vanity, the full height of your available wall space, or whatever dimensions will look best in your specific bathroom.
All bathroom mirrors are cut with moisture-resistant copper-free backing as standard — essential for wet areas where standard mirrors would corrode at the edges over time. We also apply a protective backing film to prevent moisture ingress from behind.
- Cut to any width — single vanity to full-width wall
- Copper-free moisture-resistant mirror backing
- Polished, bevelled or sandblasted edge options
- Drill holes for screw-fixing or mirror clips available
- Mirror adhesive or clip-fixing installation options
- Safety backing film available for additional protection
Feature Wall Mirrors
Make a room feel
twice as large
A large-format feature wall mirror is one of the oldest tricks in interior design — and it still works beautifully. A full-height mirror on one wall of a living room, dining room or hallway creates the impression of a second space beyond, doubling the perceived size of the room and amplifying every source of natural light.
We cut feature mirrors in any dimension — including very large single panels and multi-panel arrangements where individual glass panels are joined edge-to-edge with tight, near-invisible joints. The result looks seamless from a normal viewing distance.
- Single large-format panels or multi-panel arrangements
- Floor-to-ceiling configurations available
- Concealed mirror adhesive or decorative clip fixing
- Polished edge as standard — bevelled available
- Can be combined with frameless frame systems
- Available in standard silver or antique/bronze tints
Gym & Studio Mirrors
Wall-to-wall mirrors for
your fitness space
A home gym without mirrors is a missed opportunity. Full-wall mirrors completely transform a fitness space — allowing you to check form during workouts, make the room feel significantly larger and give the space the professional feel of a commercial gym or yoga studio.
We install gym mirrors as multiple panels butted tightly together to cover your entire wall from floor to ceiling. We use safety-backed mirror glass and secure fixing methods designed to handle the vibration and impact common in gym environments.
- Multi-panel layouts to cover full wall width & height
- Safety backing — panels stay together if broken
- Vibration-resistant adhesive fixing system
- Polished edges on all exposed panel edges
- Can be installed over most wall surfaces
- Commercial orders welcome for studio fit-outs
Choose the right
edge for your mirror
The edge finish of a mirror determines whether it looks frameless and contemporary, classic and bevelled, or decorative and custom. Here are the options we offer.
Polished Edge
Smooth, clear polished edge with no bevel. The standard finish — clean, minimal and suits any style
Bevelled Edge
A 45° angled cut around the perimeter that catches light and adds decorative detail. Classic and elegant
Rounded Edge
Gently rounded corners and edges for a softer, safer feel. Popular for children's bedrooms and dressing rooms
Sandblasted Edge
Frosted or etched edge finish for a contemporary, matte appearance. Can be used as a decorative border
Radius Cut
Rounded corners only — the edges remain polished while the corners are cut to a specified radius for a softer look
Drilled Holes
Precision-drilled holes for screw-through fixing — used with decorative mirror screws for a clean, secure wall mount
Standard silver to antique tints
Not all mirrors are created equal. Choose from these glass types to find the right look, performance and feel for your space.
Standard Silver
Classic clear mirror glass with a bright, true reflection. The most common and cost-effective option. Suits any space.
Best for: Most applications — bathrooms, wardrobes, gymsLow-Iron Silver
Ultra-clear mirror with no green tinge on edges. Noticeably brighter and cleaner than standard silver — the premium option for frameless mirrors.

Best for: Contemporary bathrooms, feature walls, commercialCopper-Free
Standard silver mirror manufactured without copper in the backing — making it resistant to moisture corrosion at the edges. Essential for wet areas.
Best for: All bathroom mirrors, wet areas, humid spacesSafety-Backed
Mirror with an additional safety film on the rear face — if the mirror breaks, fragments are held together rather than falling. Required for some commercial applications.
Best for: Gyms, studios, children's areas, commercialEvery room, every application

Custom mirror FAQs
What size can you cut a mirror to?
We can cut mirrors to virtually any size — from small bathroom panels under 300mm wide to large feature mirrors over 2400mm in a single piece. For very large installations, we use multi-panel arrangements with tight joints between panels that are nearly invisible at normal viewing distance. There is no minimum order size, and we're happy to cut a single small panel for a specific niche or recess.
What is copper-free mirror glass and do I need it for my bathroom?
Standard mirror glass uses a copper layer in the backing to protect the silver reflective coating. In wet areas, moisture can penetrate behind the mirror over time and react with the copper layer, causing black or brown edge corrosion ("foxing"). Copper-free mirror glass eliminates this issue by using a backing that is resistant to moisture corrosion. We strongly recommend copper-free glass for all bathroom, ensuite and wet-area mirror applications — it typically adds a small cost but significantly extends the life of the mirror.
What's the difference between a polished edge and a bevelled edge?
A polished edge is simply the raw cut edge of the glass that has been smoothed and polished so it's safe to touch and has a clean, clear appearance. It's flat and minimal — the standard finish for most frameless mirrors. A bevelled edge has an additional 45° angled cut running around the perimeter of the mirror, typically 15–25mm wide. This angled face catches light differently and creates a decorative border effect, giving the mirror a more traditional, elegant appearance. Bevelled edges are more visible on thicker glass and are popular for bathroom vanity mirrors and feature wall mirrors.
How do you fix a mirror to a wall?
We use several fixing methods depending on the size, weight and wall type. Mirror adhesive (silicone-based mirror mastic) is the cleanest method for most applications — completely invisible from the front, bonds strongly to most wall surfaces and absorbs minor wall movement. For heavier or larger mirrors, we may use a combination of adhesive and mirror clips or J-channels along the bottom edge for additional support. For mirrors with drilled holes, we use decorative mirror screws with caps. We recommend the right method for your specific situation during the measure-up visit.
Can you install mirrors in a gym or studio?
Yes — gym and studio mirror installations are one of our specialties. We use safety-backed mirror glass for all gym applications, which holds the glass together if it's ever impacted or broken. We install panels using vibration-resistant mirror adhesive combined with a bottom support channel. For commercial studios we can supply and install large volumes efficiently. Contact us to discuss your gym or studio project and we'll provide a detailed quote based on your wall dimensions.
Do you supply mirrors only, or do you install as well?
Both — we can supply the cut mirror glass for you to install yourself, or we can supply and install as a complete service. For most residential projects, we'd recommend the full supply-and-install service for best results, as correct fixing technique and the right adhesive makes a significant difference to how the finished mirror looks and how long it lasts. For trade clients or those who prefer to handle installation themselves, we're happy to supply cut-to-size mirrors for collection from our Dandenong South workshop.
